About YOur
Tour Operator
Walter loves his native land! His family is steeped in Irish history, an ancestor marrying a Butler daughter from Kilkenny Castle in the 1400’s. Another ancestor married a Browne from Killarney House in 1668, who went on to fight with the Jacobites in The Battle of The Boyne, The Siege of Derry, The Siege of Limerick, and finally was one of the signatories of The Treaty of Limerick.
An agricultural science graduate from University College Dublin, and management graduate from Boston College, Walter spent thirty years in farming, food, waste management and renewable energy. Describing himself as ‘a bit of a nationalist’ he is very proud of his heroes who foughtand negotiated for Irish freedom, and is adamant that Ireland now retains its strong identity, culture & heritage and becomes a pioneer as a Nation in renewable energy and food self sufficiency.
More recently Walter qualified in regional and national Irish Tour Guiding, Management, Culture & Heritage and is a Fáilte Ireland approved, registered and insured guide, and is a member of the Approved Tourist Guides of Ireland (ATGI). In 2017 he wrote a history and contemporary guide book ‘Walter’s Way Kinsale’ and is presently writing ‘Walter’s Way Killarney’. He is passionate about his Country, and making each tour an experience of a lifetime for his guests.

ARRIVAL: Sunday 8th June
Pick-up Dublin Airport or hotel in Dublin. Stop off at Doyle’s traditional bar in Castledermot on the way to Mount Juliet.
DAY 1: Monday 9th June
Mount Juliet Estate:
Start your journey with a round of golf at the prestigious Mount Juliet Estate, while non-golfers enjoy the spa and estate activities. After lunch, travel to Kinsale via the historic Rock of Cashel.
Night 2:
Stay in Kinsale, the Gourmet Capital of Ireland.
DAY 2: Tuesday 10th June
Old Head of Kinsale Golf Links:
Tee off at the world-renowned Old Head of Kinsale Golf Links. Non-golfers can visit Charlesfort and enjoy the amazing jewellery, crystal, woollen, leather stores and cafés of Kinsale.Transfer to Killarney (night three)
Night 3:
Transfer to Killarney and stay overnight.
DAY 3: Wednesday 11th June
Killarney National Park:
Enjoy a horse and carriage ride through the park and visit Muckross House & Gardens. Optional golf at Dooks Golf Links.
Night 4:
Experience a night of Irish music and dance at Celtic Steps the Show.
DAY 4: Thursday 12th June
Killarney Golf and Fishing Club:
Play a round at this exquisite club, while non-golfers enjoy falconry or the Gap of Dunloe day tour.
Night 5:
Stay at the enchanting Ballyseede Castle.
DAY 5: Friday 13th June
Lahinch Golf Links:
Take a ferry to County Clare and play at one of Europe’s top-rated courses. Enjoy the local beach and promenade.
Night 6:
Stay in Lahinch.
DAY 6: Saturday 14th June
Cliffs of Moher and The Burren:
Visit these iconic landmarks on your way back to Dublin, stopping at Sean’s Bar in Athlone. Visit the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren on the return to Dublin stopping off at Sean’s Bar, Athlone (the oldest bar in Europe, established in the 900s) to chat about the incredible week of golf and fun around Southern Ireland!
Night 7:
Rest at the Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport.
